James Rugman

James Rugman's name appears on the Tytherington War Memorial.  He was killed on 4th August 1917 fighting with the 8th Yorks and Lancs Regiment.  He is buried at the Longuenesse Souvenir Cemetary,Saint-Omer, Department Pais de Calais, France.   In the 1911 Census below he is listed as 13 years old  living in Itchington with his father Henry, a labourer on the District Board, and mother Eliza.  James was the ninth of ten children and listed as a farm labourer.
